XCalc.io Legal Notices, LN-v1.1, 23.03.2026
These Legal Notices apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
In these Legal Notices, the terms “XCalc.io,” “XCalc,” and “the App” refer to the same application.
XCalc is licensed through the App Store under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These Legal Notices supplement that license and clarify the intended use, limitations, allocation of risk, and exclusions applicable to XCalc.
1. About XCalc.io
XCalc is a general-purpose calculator and utility app. It may include, now or in the future, calculations, unit conversions, currency exchange information, formatting, number recognition (including OCR), parsing, import, export, sharing, templates, workflows, widgets, shortcuts, integrations, automation, and related tools, modules, services, or features.
2. No Warranty; No Guarantee of Availability, Accuracy, or Suitability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, XCalc and any related content, data, outputs, services, integrations, and external sources are provided “as is” and “as available,” with all faults and without any representation, warranty, condition, or undertaking of any kind, express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any warranty or condition of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, reliability, availability, continuity, performance, compatibility, merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, security, or error-free or uninterrupted operation.
No oral or written information, statement, marketing material, support communication, source name, timestamp, freshness indicator, or other content shall create any warranty, guarantee, or assurance except to the extent required by applicable law.
3. Informational Use Only; Independent Verification Required
All outputs, results, conversions, rates, parsed values, recognized numbers, suggested values, exported data, shared content, copied values, and any other information displayed, generated, transmitted, or made available by XCalc are provided solely for convenience and general informational purposes and must be treated as unverified unless independently confirmed.
They may be inaccurate, incomplete, unavailable, stale, delayed, estimated, rounded, truncated, reformatted, misread, misclassified, mis-synced, miscached, mis-exported, or otherwise affected by rounding, truncation, display precision, locale or separator settings, unit conventions or standards, OCR or number-recognition errors (including decimal separators, minus signs, unit labels, currency symbols, spacing, and sign placement), parser behavior, software defects, external data issues, stale caches, update failures, device or OS behavior, platform or integration behavior, network conditions, permissions, latency, corrupted or ambiguous inputs, user selection errors, or interpretation errors.
Displayed, copied, shared, printed, or exported values may differ from internal values, may omit context or warnings, and may reflect formatted output rather than any greater internal precision.
You must independently verify all results, rates, data, labels, classifications, and other outputs before using them for any transaction, filing, report, commitment, instruction, communication, or other important decision or action.
4. No Professional or High-Risk Use
XCalc does not provide financial, investment, banking, accounting, tax, audit, legal, regulatory, compliance, medical, engineering, scientific, safety, or other professional advice or services. No fiduciary, advisory, professional, or special relationship is created by your use of XCalc.
XCalc must not be used as the sole or primary basis for any professional judgment, regulated activity, filing, accounting treatment, treasury activity, valuation, pricing decision, procurement decision, commercial commitment, lending or credit decision, payroll, invoicing, customs or tax treatment, engineering workflow, health or safety decision, emergency use, or any other mission-critical, safety-critical, high-risk, or materially consequential activity.
5. Currency Exchange and External Data
Exchange rates and other external data may be delayed, stale, rounded, estimated, incomplete, unavailable, discontinued, obtained from a different source, or different from the rate or data quoted, offered, settled, posted, cleared, or executed by your bank, card issuer, broker, payment provider, merchant, exchange, counterparty, public authority, or other relevant source. External data may not be updated in real time and may change without notice.
Any source name, provider label, timestamp, last-updated display, freshness indicator, cache status, refresh control, or similar information is provided for convenience only and does not create any representation, warranty, or guarantee of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, continuity, or suitability.
We do not verify third-party data and assume no duty to verify, monitor, maintain, or continue any third-party data source, integration, or external service.
Third-party services, external data, integrations, and platform-dependent features may fail, change, suspend, return incomplete data, apply different methodologies, formatting, or rounding, impose licensing or usage limits, or become unavailable without notice.
Paid access may unlock app features, remove app-imposed limits, or enable additional converter functionality, but it does not guarantee continuous availability, accuracy, completeness, timeliness, continuity, or continued support of third-party exchange-rate data, integrations, or external services.
You must independently verify the current rate or other external data with the relevant counterparty or authoritative source before making any transaction, transfer, pricing, treasury, budgeting, accounting, tax, customs, compliance, valuation, settlement, commercial, or other decision that could be affected by such data.
6. User Responsibility for Inputs, Settings, Interpretation, and Use
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, and suitability of the inputs you provide, the settings you choose, the units or currencies you select, the context in which you use XCalc, the interpretation of any output, and the decision to rely on or act upon any result.
You are solely responsible for reviewing copied, shared, exported, automated, or externally transmitted content before it is used, sent, filed, communicated, or relied upon.
7. Limitation of Responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim responsibility and shall not be liable for any loss, liability, claim, demand, action, proceeding, penalty, cost, expense, or damage of any kind, whether direct or indirect and whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, strict liability, equity, or otherwise, arising out of or relating to the use of, inability to use, availability of, or reliance on XCalc, its outputs, its external data, or any related content or service.
Without limiting the foregoing, this includes losses or claims arising from unverified or inaccurate results, rates, classifications, OCR or recognition outputs, parser outputs, copied, shared, printed, or exported values, third-party data providers, source changes, stale or cached data, refresh or update failures, service interruptions, outages, delays, latency, device issues, OS or platform issues, integration failures, network failures, permissions, configuration choices, user inputs, user selections, interpretation errors, or factors outside our control, including where a result, rate, classification, or data item was material to a transaction or other important decision and was not independently verified.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, savings, business, opportunity, contracts, customers, goodwill, data, or use.
8. Intellectual Property
Except as permitted by applicable law or applicable third-party license terms, you may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, reverse engineer, decompile, modify, create derivative works from, extract from, or exploit XCalc or its content without permission.
9. Changes to These Legal Notices and Features
We may update these Legal Notices and may add, change, suspend, limit, replace, or remove features, integrations, data sources, content, or functionality at any time. The current version will show a revised last-updated date and document version in the app and/or on the website.
